14 August 2019 is a Scout day. Consulate General of Indonesia commemorated the Scout Day by collaborating with the Indonesian School of Davao (SID) by inviting several Philippine schools in Davao City. The ceremony was continued with artistic performances and characteristics from every school, both Japanese, Philippine and Indonesian schools. There are many performances from various school. Indonesian school featuring Jambi's dance, scout dances, and also the appearace of angklung. It was a really amazing day to be able meet in person with the students of Philippine and Japanese School. This is also my first experience being able to celebrate and carry out a scout day ceremony in a neighboring country.

Today, August 11, 2019 is Eid al-Adha for Muslims around the world. This is the first time I have carried out Eid al-Adha without being with my family. Many new things that I found and got while carrying out Eid al-Adha in the Davao City, Philippines. One of the most fun times when I attended the Eid prayer in congregation at the consulate general of the Republic of Indonesia was that I was able to meet some Indonesian Muslim citizens who lived in this city. In addition, we also held a joint meal with KJRI officials and teachers and staff of the Indonesian School of Davao. The most surprising thing was when I was greeted by several women who turned out to be seateacher participants in 2019. 2 from Makassar University and 2 others from Semarang State University. Me and my friend, sabil, were very happy to meet them, because we made new friends who were both interned in the Davao City. After today's introduction, I went with my new friends to walk together to SM Mal.

Day 1

The first day in Davao we arrived at Davao International Airport to be picked up by the Indonesian Consulate General and representatives from SID. In the middle of the street we were invited to have dinner together at Joley and were invited to looking for a Filipino SimCard. After that we were escorted to the House of Indonesia and given directions during our stay here. Our lodging is a House of Indonesia Consulate General and is still a complex with SID, so the distance between lodging and internships is not so far away. Arriving at VIP room number 2 we immediately rested and cleaned up because in the morning we were asked to jump right in and meet with the General Counselor.
